If you have an Alberta Blue Cross ® Blue Assured ® individual health plan, we’ve got great news for you.
Effective March 1, 2020, Alberta Blue Cross ® is enhancing the coverage provided through our Blue Assured ® plans.
In response to your feedback requesting enhanced prescription drug coverage, we are doubling the Blue Assured ® level C optional drug coverage limits from $750 to $1,500 per plan member WITHOUT a rate increase.
Plus, the optional prescription drug coverage module offered under the Blue Assured ® plan will no longer terminate at age 65.
This means you can access prescription drug coverage at any age for the duration of your coverage on the plan.

To support your mental health, the Individual Assistance Program (IAP) benefit has been added to Blue Assured ® extended health benefits level A at no additional cost, with coverage for up to 12 sessions per calendar year.
With this addition to level A, the IAP benefit is now provided through all Blue Assured ® plan levels.
